DFS Championship Sunday

Final weekend to play a 9-player lineup

Divisional Weekend will be a weekend most NFL fans won’t forget in a long time.

All four games were decided on the last play of the game with several broken hearted.

It was a good weekend for my cash lineups, but Sunday’s line needed the 25 points scored in the final 2 minutes and overtime of the Buffalo-Kansas City game to reach that goal.

Thanks to Saturday’s low-scoring games, I managed to squeeze into the money with 124.7 points. My core came in with average numbers, but it was A.J. Brown’s 28.2 points that helped reach the green.

Sunday was a struggle as I faded most of the LA Rams-Tampa Bay game, missing out of Leonard Fournette, Cooper Kupp and Mike Evans’ big games.

On Sunday, Devin Singletary, Byron Pringle and Gabriel Davis seemed to be the right mid- to low-cost plays as they all scored first-half touchdowns, but Patrick Mahomes II, Travis Kelce and Stefon Diggs were my spend ups for the late contest.

Then came the final two minutes and OT.

Diggs underwhelmed but Davis exploded for 3 second-half TDs and finished with 8 receptions for 201 yards before the heroics of Mahomes and Kelce.

Before Davis’ final TD, Mahomes connected with Tyreek Hill for a 64-yard TD pass and 33-29 lead with 1:02 left in the game.

Josh Allen droved the Bills down the field and hit Davis for his final TD with 13 seconds, and rest is history.

I finished with 183.72 points to easily hit the green in my cash games and cashed in my GPPs as well.

Onto today’s players!

Today’s Championship Games

Cincinnati at Kansas City (Chiefs -7, 54.5 over/under): Game-time weather: 40 and mostly cloudy; winds – NNW 5 mph

San Francisco at LA Rams (Rams -3.5, 45.5): Game-time weather: Dome.

DraftKings Cash Core

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes II, Kansas City ($7,400): I’m going back to the well with Mahomes. He has scored 40-plus points in each game in the playoffs this year, and will be expected to carry the offense in what is expected to be a shootout.

Running Back

Cam Akers, LA Rams ($5,000): I know he fumbled twice but he still touched the ball 27 times last week, and he may be more involved in the passing game this week since the 49ers have a stout run defense.

Wide Receiver

Cooper Kupp, LA Rams ($8,800): Winning or losing Kupp will be involved the offense for the Rams. He has been targeted 18 times in the first two playoff games and always makes a big play when the Rams need it.

Tight End

Travis Kelce, Kansas City ($6,500): Kelce had a quiet game in the first matchup vs. the Bengals, but I think the Chiefs were too vanilla with their offense in the second half of the regular season game.

Last Week’s DK by the Numbers

QB: Ryan Tannehill 11.0, Patrick Mahomes II 43.2.

RB: Derrick Henry 12.2, Cam Akers 7.8.

WR: Davante Adams 18.0, Stefon Diggs 5.7.

TE: C.J. Uzomah 14.1, Travis Kelce 23.6.
