DFS Week 1

It’s time to get back at it!

It’s another year as I provide Top Cash Plays from my spreadsheet.

After an up-and-down season last year, I’m looking to be at the top of my game for the 2024 season.

I will provide my favorites for your cash lineups but suggest others you can use for a possible big GPP score.

Don’t forget to check out my spreadsheet, and you can use the sheet for prop bets as well.

This year Patreon is allowing weekly trials. For $5 ($7.50 of IoS), you can check my spreadsheet on a weekly basis. And if you like, you can get the whole month for $15.

Onto this week’s Top Cash Plays:

My Top Play

Quarterback

Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis ($6,300)

In the two games he played the whole game last season, Richardson averaged 26.25 DraftKings points.

He enters this week playing in the second highest total on the main slate. The Houston-Indianapolis points total is 48.5, and the Texans are a 2.5-point favorite on the road.

Other Cash QB

Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay ($5,600)

The total is only 42.5 in the Buccaneers’ home against Washington in the late games.

However, the Commanders’ defense is expected to be as bad as last season.

My Sneaky GPP

Jayden Daniels, Washington ($5,700)

My Top Play

Running Back

Kenneth Walker III, Seattle ($6,100)

Walker faces a Denver rush defense that was one of the worse in the league last season. And they focused on offense in the NFL Draft this spring, drafting quarterback Bo Nix in the first round.

Walker averaged 18.8 DK points in his last three home games last season.

Other Cash RB

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans ($6,700)

Kamara is a great play, according to my spreadsheet, but he may be one of the highest rostered running backs on the main slate.

He averaged 19.47 DK points in his last three home games last season, and Carolina was ranked 27th vs. the run last season.

My Sneaky GPP

Joe Mixon, Houston ($6,600)

My Top Play

Wide Receiver

Tyreek Hill, Miami ($8,700)

I know he doesn’t grade well on my spreadsheet, but Hill is a must cash start.

In two of his last three season openers, Hill has scored more than 35 fantasy points. The Jacksonville defense struggled against the pass last season, ranking 26th vs. the pass.

Hill has made a living vs. bad pass defenses.

Other Cash WR

Terry McLaurin, Washington ($5,600)

McLaurin may be one of the chalkiest WRs on the Main Slate, but he will be hard to ignore.

He is the only experienced competent WR the Commanders have on their roster to start the season.

Though I think Dyami Brown may have a breakout season, McLaurin is the still the leader of this group.

Sneaky GPP WR

Wan’Dale Robinson, NY Giants ($4,100)

My Top Play

Tight End

Evan Engram, Jacksonville ($5,500)

Engram quietly had an elite season in 2023.

He led the tight ends with 143 targets last season and added 114 receptions. The only thing he lacked was the TDs as he only had 4.

Now he faces a Dolphins defense that struggled vs. tight ends last season. Miami gave up more than 90 receptions and 7 TDs to tight ends in 2023.

Other Cash TE

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta ($4,600)

This has to be the season for Pitts, right?

The talented TE has yet to reach lofty goals in his short career despite his physical talents. But with a new coach regime in Atlanta, he may be used properly.

Plus, the Steelers has had their issues in the past of guarding big, physically-talented tight ends.

Sneaky GPP TE

Hunter Henry, New England ($4,200)
