{{UPDATED 11:21}} A masterpiece in the making?
Back to the drawing board for this week!
I don’t think this week’s cash lineup is going to be a masterpiece but it should do the job of finishing in the cash unlike last week.
I went with Tom Brady as my cash QB instead of Dak Prescott last week, and Brady struggled. Tampa Bay came out of its bye and was upset by Washington.
Brady had 2 first-half interceptions as the Buccaneers scored only two field goals. He battled back in the second half but only threw two TD passes to finish a snowflake and 15.0 points.
My cash lineup (128.80 points last week) also took a hit in the late games too as Davante Adams and Jerry Jeudy combined for 25.9 points. Adams had a snowflake as Green Bay only scored 17 points in their shutout win vs. Seattle.
Hopefully my brushstrokes create a few fire emojis this weekend.

This week I’m going a little more in depth to my value plays along with my usual top play.
Quarterback
Top Play
Dak Prescott, Dallas ($7,200): There are four excellent plays among the top six QBs priced on DraftKings and I prefer Prescott the most. Kansas City continues to allow the second most points to QBs in fantasy.
Value plays
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati ($6,600)
Russell Wilson, Seattle ($6,500)
Derek Carr, Las Vegas ($5,900)
A lot of focus will be on the Dallas-Kansas City matchup in the late games, which makes these three top targets to pivot from the Dak Prescott or Patrick Mahomes II stacks.
Running Back
Top Play
Christian McCaffrey, Carolina ($8,900): With so many good values at running back this week, I will not have McCaffrey in my cash lineup but he will be in 60 percent of my GPPs. {{UPDATE}} CMC will be in my cash lineup after careful consideration.
Value Plays
A.J. Dillon, Green Bay ($6,200)
Mark Ingram II, New Orleans ($5,400)
Jeff Wilson Jr., San Francisco ($5,100)
Ownership projections will off the chart for these three in cash play.
Wide Receiver
Top Play
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas ($7,600): With Amari Cooper on the covid list and a 56 over/under vs. Kansas City, Lamb will probably see double digit high-quality targets at Arrowhead.
Value Plays
Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas ($5,800):
Tee Higgins, Cincinnati ($5,400)
Michael Gallup, Dallas ($4,200)
Byron Pringle, Kansas City ($3,400)
Renfrow has a 25 percent target share in the red zone, Higgins is due for a TD, Gallup becomes the No. 2 man with Cooper on the covid list and Pringle’s playing time and production has increased in the recent weeks.
Tight End
John Bates, Washington ($2,500): Yes, he is a big time value play but he’s starting in an offense that likes throwing to the tight end. Opportunity and price point are too good to waste. He’s in 40 percent of my lineups and my cash lineup TE.
Value Play
Tyler Conklin, Minnesota ($3,900): Conklin has seen 5 or more targets in his last four games and is coming off a two-TD game.
DraftKings Cash Core
Dak Prescott, AJ Dillon, CeeDee Lamb, John Bates
Sneaky Stacks
Derek Carr, Joe Mixon, Hunter Renfrow, Tee Higgins, Darren Waller
Aaron Rodgers, AJ Dillon, Davante Adams, Tyler Conklin
Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Zach Ertz
Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, Ja’Marr Chase, Hunter Renfrow
Last Week’s DK by the Numbers
Cash Core: Tom Brady 15.0, Jonathan Taylor 27.6, Davante Adams 14.8, Geoff Swaim 6.6
QB: Tom Brady 15.0, Tyler Heinicke 15.74
RB: Christian McCaffrey 26.1, D’Ernest Johnson 22.7
WR: Davante Adams 14.8, Tyler Johnson 4.7
TE: Zach Ertz 8.6, Geoff Swaim 6.6
