DFS Week 15 Saturday

Proof it only takes one good week in DFS

Finally, it was a good week – well actually, it was a great week!

Struggling for most of the season it was nice to hit my cash lineup, even if it was a backdoor win.

I finished with 138.36 points and did it with only 2 fire emojis, but every player, except the Pittsburgh DST, scored at least 10.4 points. You don’t have to be perfect to place in cash.

But it was what I did with my GPP lineups for me having a great week. I had four lineups which scored 169 points or more, including my banger lineup of 211.86 points.

The good was I won $1,500 for 11th place finish in $200K Fair Catch single entry, but the bad was I was placing second at halftime, winning $10K, of the late games. The Christian McCaffrey, Jerry Jeudy and Jerrick McKinnon owners made their way past me in the second half of the main slate’s late games.

The majority of plays were from spreadsheet that I have be providing on Patreon. Ryan Tannehill, Tony Pollard, Miles Sanders, Ja’Marr Chase, Austin Hooper and Justin Jefferson were all Top 10 plays on my spreadsheet at their respective positions.

I will be providing my spreadsheet and main cash and GPP lineups on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/fantasyfbguru

Onto Saturday’s top players!

Quarterback

My Top Play

Josh Allen, Buffalo ($8,300): Don’t be afraid of the snow! The Buffalo area has a winter storm warning until Sunday morning but it appears most of the bad weather will be finished before the Bills play Miami at 8:15 p.m.

Allen has thrown 13 TD passes in his last five games vs. the Dolphins and the Bills are looking to avenge early season loss in the Miami heat. Welcome to Buffalo in December!

Other QBs

Kirk Cousins, Minnesota ($6,000)

Matt Ryan, Indianapolis ($5,200)

Cousins is coming off a season-high 425 passing yards in the Vikings’ loss to Detroit and he has been hit and miss vs. AFC foes this season. Ryan gives you some salary relief and the Vikings have the league’s worst pass defense (287.2 passing yards per game).

Running back

My Top Play

Dalvin Cook, Minnesota ($6,900): Cook faces a Colts defense that has been ran over the last three games, including giving up 220 yards to Dallas two weeks ago. He has had 20-plus touches in two of his last three games.

Other RBs

Nick Chubb, Cleveland ($7,400)

Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis ($7,200)

J.K. Dobbins, Baltimore ($5,200)

Despite his recent struggles to score more than 10 DK points, Chubb is the highest price RB on the Saturday slate, which should suppress his rostership numbers. Taylor has been a workhorse in his last four games, finishing with 23 or more touches in each game. He has scored in three of his last four games. Dobbins returned from IR with a bang, gouging the Pittsburgh’s top 10 run defense for a 120 yards and a touchdown. On his long run of 44 yards, Dobbins slowed considerably as he said he was not completely back in game shape yet.

Wide receiver

My Top Play

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota ($9,100): The Colts enter the game as the top pass defense in the league, but Jefferson has excelled at home in the past. However, his two worst scoring days this season have been in home games.

Other WRs

Tyreek Hill, Miami ($9,000)

Isaiah McKenzie, Buffalo ($4,100)

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis ($3,900)

Hill is off the injury list despite struggling with a lower leg injury during last Sunday night’s game vs. LA Chargers. He also gets the benefit of the worst of the snow leaving Buffalo earlier on Saturday. McKenzie was a DFS darling on Thanksgiving and could be again. The Bills have targeted their slot receivers 35 times in their last five games vs. the Dolphins. Pierce is the Colts deep threat and the Vikings gave up two long bombs to the Lions last week. Pierce has been targeted 18 times in his last three games.

Tight End

My Top Play

David Njoku, Cleveland ($4,200): Njoku has seen 16 targets in his last two games, including 9 targets from new QB Deshaun Watson last week.

Other TEs

T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota ($5,000)

Kylen Granson, Indianapolis ($2,800)

Since his trade from the Lions, Hockenson has seen 48 targets in 6 games and has caught 36 passes. Granson led the Colts’ three-headed TE attack, playing 57 percent of the snaps and leading the TEs with 6 targets.
