DFS Week 16 Christmas Weekend

Three days full of games and holiday cheer

Merry Christmas to all!

Now let’s bring home some holiday cheer with some cash in our pockets.

Last week I fell short as I correctly predicted that the cash tournament money line would be in the 150-to-160 points range. I finished with 149.66 points falling short of the green in my cash tournaments.

Now this weekend, we have three slates to play and I’m adding a Christmas treat at the end of my story. I’ll provide my spreadsheet for the three-game Christmas Day slate at the bottom of my story.

Also don’t forget to check out Boris’ DFS game-by-game breakdown!

Don’t forget to check out my Sunday Main Slate spreadsheet – 5 of my 7 3-star plays at running back, wide receiver and tight end all scored TDs. You can use the sheet for prop bets as well.

It comes with a 7-day free trial. Check it out!

Onto my Week 16 plays!

My Top Plays

Quarterback

Saturday

Josh Allen, Buffalo ($8,100): Allen may have not hit value the last two weeks but he has the best floor of the four starters for Saturday’s game.

Plus, he’s facing a Chargers defense that is in the bottom 10 of fantasy points allowed to QBs.

Sunday

Joe Flacco, Cleveland ($5,500): Flacco has been sensational since coming off his couch three games ago.

He has averaged 313 yards passing and has thrown 7 TDs, but he has also tossed 5 interceptions in his three games. He’s a little boom or bust potential.

Christmas

Brock Purdy, San Francisco ($6,700): You have to play the MVP frontrunner in a big home matchup against Baltimore.

Purdy has scored 25.4 or more DraftKings points in 4 of his last 5 games, and he has excelled in home games in short career.

My Top Play

Running Back

Saturday

James Cook, Buffalo ($6,900): Since Joe Brady has taken the offensive coordinator job in Buffalo, Cook has been his workhorse.

Cook has averaged 141 combined yards a game since Brady starting calling the plays and the Chargers are also a bottom 10 team in fantasy points allowed to RBs.

Sunday

Derrick Henry, Tennessee ($6,800): Henry has not been himself this season.

Maybe Father Time is catching up to him, but I’ll still take the chance when he has excelled in home games vs. NFC foes. He has averaged 84.3 yards rushing in his last six home contests vs. NFC opponents and the Seahawks are the fifth worst team in the league in fantasy points allowed to RBs.

Christmas

Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City ($6,400): Pacheco returns from a two-game absence after resting an injured shoulder.

He comes back at right time vs. the Raiders. Pacheco has rushed for 3 TDs in his last two matchups vs. Vegas, including a 25.9 DK points effort in Week 12.

My Top Play

Wide Receiver

Saturday

Tee Higgins, Cincinnati ($6,500): Higgins is in his usual a plug-and-play spot with Ja’Marr Chase out of the lineup on Saturday.

Higgins picked the slack last week when Chase left early with a shoulder injury and produced 2 TDs.

Sunday

D.K. Metcalf, Seattle ($6,700): Metcalf may be hitting his stride at the right time, and now faces the Titans pass-funnel defense.

And Metcalf should excel with either Geno Smith or Drew Lock under center. In his last game with Smith, Metcalf had a 3-TD effort vs. Dallas, and last Monday, Metcalf was Lock’s go-to guy on the game-winning drive.

Christmas

Deebo Samuel, San Francisco ($7,700): If I’m playing Purdy, I’m going to continue to play a healthy Samuel.

His do-it-all role makes him too valuable with a sub-$8K price on DraftKings.

My Top Play

Tight End

Saturday

Tanner Hudson, Cincinnati ($3,600): Hudson’s price point continues to be too cheap.

He has caught four or more passes or scored a TD in 7 straight games. And when he’s targeted, he catches them – 29 receptions on 33 targets.

Sunday

David Njoku, Cleveland ($5,300): Since Flacco became the starter in Cleveland, Njoku has been targeted 28 times.

Njoku had become a focal point of the offense since Week 7, but he has really exploded in his last two games – 16 catches for 195 yards and 3 TDs.

Christmas

Isaiah Likely, Baltimore ($4,200): With Mark Andrews on the IR for the rest of the season, the Ravens haven’t missed a beat at TE with Likely starting.

He’s amassed 10 catches for 153 yards and 2 TDs in his two starts since Andrews’ injury.

My Top Play

Saturday

Buffalo ($3,500) at LA Chargers

Sunday

Miami ($2,700) home against Dallas

Christmas

Kansas City ($3,200) home against Las Vegas
