DFS Week 17

I'm going the cheap route for my Cash Core

Last weekend was a mixed bag again for me.

My Cash Lineup failed to reach the green on Saturday, but it crushed on Sunday.

Thanks to some solid GPP lineups I was able to make a small profit on Saturday and a nice profit on Sunday (all five of my Sunday lines cashed).

My Saturday Cash Lineup finished with 132.68 points, missing the cutline by less than 5 points in all my tournaments.

My Sunday Cash Lineup smashed the green easily, finishing with 165.04 points with three top 20 finishes.

However, the disappointing part was if I had changed my cash lineup in two spots it would have finished with a 4-digit cash day. If I had flipped Greg Dulcich with Tyler Higbee and the Dolphins DST with the Rams DST, I would have finished with 198.54 points. Oh so close!

Take a peek at my spreadsheet as I will continue doing DFS content until the Super Bowl. Plus, check out Borisnow00 (on Twitter) story on this week’s rostership numbers and his top GPP plays.

I will be providing my spreadsheet and main cash and GPP lineups on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/fantasyfbguru

Plus, the main swing of the PGA Tour season starts next week at the Tournament of Champions and I will provide my spreadsheet of each Tour event until the Tour Championship on my Patreon page. Check it out for only $10 a month!

Onto this week’s top plays!

Quarterback

My Top Play

Jared Goff, Detroit ($5,600): Goff’s fantasy numbers at home have been well known this season and now he finishes the Lions’ home schedule with a juicy matchup vs. Chicago’s 25th-ranked defense vs. QBs this season.

Other QBs

Patrick Mahomes II, Kansas City ($8,500)

Justin Fields, Chicago ($7,900)

Daniel Jones, NY Giants ($5,700)

Quarterback field will be stretched this week with so many viable plays, but here are my top 3 of the others. Mahomes is notorious of having bigger fantasy games on the road as the Chiefs defense is a different monster at Arrowhead Stadium. But Mahomes has scored 22.4 points or more points in his last four games. Fields made mincemeat out of the Detroit defense the last time they met, going for 4 TDs (167 yards passing and 147 yards rushing). Jones has been a consistent scoring his last four games at home as well, finishing with 18.1 points or more.

Running back

My Top Play

Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay ($5,600): Fournette finally took back the lead RB role with the Bucs after missing a game in Week 12. He has seen 28 targets in his last four games and has taken the majority of the snaps in 3 of 4 of those games.

Other RBs

James Conner, Arizona ($7,200)

Cam Akers, LA Rams ($6,100)

A.J. Dillon, Green Bay ($5,800)

Brian Robinson Jr., Washington ($5,200)

Conner has become the Cardinals offense since Kyler Murray went down with an ACL tear. Conner has had 19 or more touches in his last two games with Murray out. Akers has been on nice run since Week 13 as he has scored 6 TDs during that time span while securing the No. 1 RB role for the Rams. Dillon has been on a roll, as well, in his last four weeks, scoring 5 TDs. He has 9 red zones touches compared to Aaron Jones’ 5 in the same time span. Robinson Jr. has the backfield to himself on Sunday with Antonio Gibson declared out. The Browns have given up 162 yards rushing a game in their last three.

Wide Receiver

My Top Play

Greg Dortch, Arizona ($3,000): Hear me out on this one – with so many viable options at QB this week, Dortch allows you to stack whoever you want and gives you a chance to add a Justin Jefferson where possible. Plus, it looks like DeAndre Hopkins is going to miss Sunday’s game.

Other WRs

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota ($9,500)

Keenan Allen, LA Chargers ($7,000)

Jerry Jeudy, Denver ($6,400)

Johan Dotson, Washington ($4,600)

Isisah Hodgins, NY Giants ($4,500)

D.J. Chark, Detroit ($4,300)

Jefferson has torched the GB defense for 150 yards and 2 TDs in 2 of the last 3 games and there is that record he’s chasing (1,756 yards receiving – the season record is held by Calvin Johnson at 1,964 yards). Allen has seen 51 targets in his last four games and has had 86 yards receiving or more in his last four games. Jeudy is questionable but if he plays he will continue to be Russell Wilson’s top target (19 targets in Wilson’s last two starts). Dotson has seen 24 targets the last three weeks which includes 4 red zone targets and 2 Tds the last two weeks. Hodgins has played 80 percent or more of the Giants offensive snaps the last 4 weeks and has 28 targets during that span. Chark Jr. has had 94 yards or more receiving in 3 of the past 4 weeks.

Tight end

My Top Play

Tyler Conklin, NY Jets ($2,900): With Mike White under center for three starts, Conklin has seen 18 targets and now faces the worst defense vs. TEs this season. Seattle has given up 12 catches for 242 yards and 2 TDs last 2 weeks vs. TEs.

Other TEs

Travis Kelce, Kansas City ($8,100)

Evan Engram, Jacksonville ($4,400)

Jelani Woods, Indianapolis ($2,800)

Since catching only 4 passes on 9 targets vs. the Broncos three weeks ago, Kelce has been outstanding, hauling in 16 catches on 18 targets for 218 yards, but the end zone has evaded him the last four weeks. Engram’s recent run has been amazing as he’s been a top 10 TE in 3 of the last 4 weeks. He’s averaged 10 targets a game during the run. Woods led the Colts’ TEs last week playing 63 percent of the snaps but hasn’t seen the end zone since Week 6.

Defense

My Top Play

New England ($2,600): I’m going right back to the Patriots at home as they get to face a Dolphins’ offense led by Teddy “Two Gloves” Bridgewater, who has thrown for three interceptions in his two starts.

Other defenses

NY Jets ($2,800)

Las Vegas ($2,300)
