DFS Week 18

Looking to finish the regular season on a positive note

Another week of disappointment!

My Cash lineup floundered again with only 111.46 points and didn’t even come close to the cash line.

I switched Jaylen Waddle from my Cash lineup after I saw the approaching weather conditions for Nashville. My thought was correct but I pivoted to CeeDee Lamb, and Lamb had a snowflake with 8.1 points.

My process has been there, but I just can’t seem to put it all together late in the season.

My friends at the Warrior Bowl charity league also run a weekly DFS tournament, and there are a few spots remaining if you want battle me for the first- and second-place prizes.

Here is the link to the tournament: https://www.draftkings.com/draft/contest/122077194

Onto this week’s players!

Quarterback

Top Play

Kyle Murray, Arizona ($7,400): Murray and Tom Brady are in smash spots in my opinion, but Murray saves you $100 and his rushing upside is are to ignore.

Sneaky QBs

Tyler Huntley, Baltimore ($5,700)

Davis Mills, Houston ($5,300)

Huntley gets another start and the Steelers defense has been up and down this season. Mills should get plenty of passing opportunities as the Texans should be trailing late in the game.

Running Back

Top Play

Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis ($9,300): Taylor has scored 27 or more DraftKings points in his last two starts vs. the Jaguars, including 253 yards and two TDs in last year’s finale.

Value Plays

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England ($5,900)

D’Onta Foreman, Houston ($5,700)

Devonta Freeman, Baltimore ($5,200)

Stevenson becomes a smash play if Damien Harris is ruled out, while Foreman has the RB1 role in the Tennessee offense. Freeman could be a sneaky play as the Steelers have struggled against the run this season.

Cheap Play

Patrick Taylor, Green Bay ($4,000): If the Packers elect to sit their starters, Taylor should be automatic play in your cash lineups.

Wide Receiver

Top Play

Stefon Diggs, Buffalo ($7,800): Diggs had his biggest game of the season in his last matchup vs. the Jets and has an added bonus in this matchup. Diggs has an elevator clause in his contract for an extra $1.55 million in future earnings if he finishes with 1,375 receiving yards or if he hits 100 receptions. Diggs just needs six receptions to reach 100 receptions.

Value Plays

Odell Beckham Jr., LA Rams ($5,800)

Marquez Callaway, New Orleans ($5,000)

There should be plenty of offense in the 49ers-Rams matchup as both teams have incentive for a win, boding well for Beckham Jr. Callaway has shown flashes of his preseason hype in 2 of his last 3 games.

Cheap Plays

Rashod Bateman, Baltimore ($4,900)

Cyril Grayson, Tampa Bay ($4,400)

Antoine Wesley, Arizona ($4,100)

Ray-Ray McCloud, Pittsburgh ($3,800)

Bateman’s playing time has increased and Huntley has thrown his way (5 or more targets in 3 of the last four games). According to reports, Grayson has earned Tom Brady's trust and he may get more targets after Antonio Brown’s release. Wesley has assumed the D’Andre Hopkins spot on the field and has been targeted in the red zone the last two weeks (3 TDs). McCloud is not going to hurt you with his price point and has seen 18 targets the last two games.

Tight End

Top Play

Zach Ertz, Arizona ($5,300): Ertz has seen 40 targets (26 receptions) in the Cardinals’ last four games and he’s due for a TD (his last TD was in Week 11).

Value Play

Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh ($4,600): The rookie TE gets to face the Ravens defense that has given up the fifth most fantasy points to TEs this season.

Cheap Play

John Bates, Washington ($3,000): Injuries leave Bates was the TE1 in Washington’s offense.

DraftKings Cash Core

Davis Mills, D’Onta Foreman, A.J. Brown, Brandin Cooks

Tom Brady, Cyril Grayson, Rob Gronkowski

Josh Allen, Devin Singletary, Stefon Diggs,
