DFS Week 18

One last week before the playoffs

Is it really Week 18 already?

It just seemed like yesterday Kansas City was getting upset by Detroit in the opening Thursday night game.

And it’s sad time for the majority of fantasy football players as 99.9 percent of the leagues completed their season in Week 17.

But don’t despair, you can use some of league winnings and enjoy the NFL regular season one more time on the Week 18 DFS schedule, and I can provide us some of the key plays.

My cash lineup last week cruised to the green as I finished with 146.76 points and that included Christian McCaffrey finishing with a snowflake for 13.1 points.

Also don’t forget to check out Boris’ DFS game-by-game breakdown!

Don’t forget to check out my spreadsheet, and you can use the sheet for prop bets as well.

Onto my Week 18 plays!

My Top Play

Quarterback

Nick Mullens, Minnesota ($5,100): This play is a little gutsy for a cash lineup, but the value Mullens provides allows us to plug in two top WRs and the RBs I like on this slate.

Mullens has plenty of upside though as he has thrown for more than 300 yards in both of his starts, but he is a candidate to be benched at any time as he’s thrown 6 interceptions in those two starts.

Other Cash QBs

Geno Smith, Seattle ($6,100)

Derek Carr, New Orleans ($5,600)

Smith and the Seahawks need a win and some help to make the playoffs, but the Cardinals have proven their defense will not win games for them. In his last two matchups vs. Arizona, Smith has thrown 2 TDs in each game. Carr and the Saints are in the same boat as the Seahawks – a win and some help to make the playoffs. Carr was lackluster last week against Tampa Bay’s pass-funnel defense but a big early lead stuffed his day. He has thrown 2 or more TDs in four straight games.

Sneaky GPP QB

Justin Fields, Chicago ($7,200)

My Top Play

Running Back

Aaron Jones, Green Bay ($6,300): Jones has rushed for more than 100 yards in two straight games and now has the backfield to himself this week. A.J. Dillon has been declared out vs. Chicago.

Jones has averaged 17.8 DraftKings points in his three games where he has had more than 20 touches this season. However, he’s only scored 1 TD in those 3 games. He’s due for some positive TD regression.

Other Cash RBs

James Conner, Arizona ($6,100)

Jordan Mason, San Francisco ($4,600)

Since the Cardinals’ Week 14 bye, Conner has been a RB1 each week – averaging 23.1 DK points respectively. Mason steps into the lead SF RB role as McCaffrey is not playing, and according to reports, Elijah Mitchell is expected to see limited action.

Sneaky GPP RB

Breece Hall, NY Jets ($7,200)

My Top Play

Wide Receiver

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas ($9,300): The Cowboys are in a must win situation to maintain the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

And Lamb can still put up enough DK points in one half of play to be cash valuable if the Cowboys are blowing out the Commanders.

Other Cash WRs

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota ($8,500)

D.J. Moore, Chicago ($7,000)

Jefferson has seen 10 targets in each of his last three games, but his stats were are better when Mullens was the starter (29.1 and 15.4 compared to Jaren Hall’s start, 10.9). Moore and the Bears can play spoiler vs. Green Bay. He has seen 37 targets in his last four games.

Sneaky GPP WR

Josh Reynolds, Detroit ($3,300)

My Top Play

Tight End

Noah Gray, Kansas City ($2,500): Gray had seen 9 targets in his last three games with Travis Kelce playing. And now he gets a chance to be the No. 1 guy for a game (I expect Kelce will sit on Sunday).

He has caught 28 of 38 targets this season and has 2 TDs.

Other Cash TE

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans ($3,600): Johnson has scored double-digit DK points the last three weeks and has averaged 16.5 during those games.

Sneaky GPP TE

Darren Waller, NY Giants ($4,700)

My Top Play

DST

Cincinnati ($3,000) home against Cleveland

Other Cash DST

New Orleans ($3,400) home against Atlanta

Sneaky GPP DST

NY Giants ($2,300) home against Philadelphia
