An 11-game slate limits my cash player pool
Sometimes it’s not what your Core 4 scores, but what the Core 4 allows you to build around it.
My Core 4 scored just more than 40 points last week, but it allowed me to plug Stefon Diggs and Mark Andrews into my cash lineup. Diggs finished with 10 catches for 148 yards and one TD for 33.8 DraftKings points. Andrews had seven receptions for 106 yards and one TD for 26.6 DK points.
I finished with 144.68 points, safely in the green in all my cash tournaments last week.

Onto this week’s top players!
Quarterback
Top play
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore ($8,000): If Mark Andrews plays, Jackson is a very viable cash option player, but even without Andrews, Jackson can be played in GPPs.
Other QBs
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati ($6,900)
Dak Prescott, Dallas ($6,700)
Geno Smith, Seattle ($5,600)
Burrow has a juicy matchup with Atlanta with a game total of 47. Prescott returns from the IR and gets a home matchup against a bad Detroit defense. Smith faces a suspect Chargers defense with a game total of 50.5, highest of the weekend.
Running back
Top play
Derrick Henry, Tennessee ($8,200): Henry has rushed for 100 yards or more in 4 of the last five matchups vs. the Colts. He’s also had at least 25 touches for three straight games.
Value plays
Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas ($6,500)
Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas ($6,000)
Ken Walker III, Seattle ($5,800)
Jacobs has finished with more than 175 total yards in the last two games, and now faces a Houston team that allows 164.8 yards rushing a game. Jacobs will be one of the highest owned players in cash tournaments. Elliott faces the league’s worst run defense in the Lions (167.8 yards a game). Walker III is way too cheap for a RB who should get more than 20 touches for a second straight week.
Wide receiver
Top play
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas ($6,800): Dak Prescott returns under center for the Cowboys which should be a boost for Lamb’s already high 10.0 targets a game.
Value plays
Tyler Lockett, Seattle ($5,800)
Michael Gallup, Dallas ($5,100)
Curtis Samuel, Washington ($5,300)
Alec Pierce, Indianapolis ($4,600)
Wan’Dale Robinson, NY Giants ($4,500)
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kansas City ($4,400)
Lockett has been held of practice all week that doesn’t bode well, but if he plays, he’s too cheap to have in your lineup. Gallup has the same upside as Lamb. Samuel should see plenty of targets and touches in the Commanders’ injured WR corps. Pierce has quietly carved himself as the No. 2 target man in Indy. Robinson had four targets on just 11 snaps last week – break out week upcoming? Valdes-Scantling finished with a big zero last week, but he was averaging more than 6 targets a game before last week’s dud.
Cheap play
DeAndre Carter, LA Chargers ($3,700)
Keenan Allen is expected to return but is viewed as a game-time decision. Carter could be the No. 2 option if Allen can’t go and with the other Chargers’ WRs battling injuries (Josh Palmer is out).
Tight end
Top play
Mark Andrews, Baltimore ($7,400): He’s questionable, but if he plays, he can be plugged in your lineups for cash and GPPs with his price cheaper than Travis Kelce ($8,000).
Value play
Robert Tonyan, Green Bay ($4,100): Tonyan may be rounding back into shape after tearing his ACL last season. He had 12 targets last week.
Cheap play
Foster Moreau, Las Vegas ($2,800)
Greg Dulcich, Devner ($2,500)
When called into service, Moreau seems to fill Darren Waller’s role perfectly. Dulcich looks to build off his 2-44-1 games vs. Seattle last Monday night.
DraftKings Cash Core
QB: Lamar Jackson, Baltimore (if Mark Andrew plays); Joe Burrow, Cincinnati (if Mark Andrews is out)

TE: Greg Dulcich, Denver
