DFS Week 8

Updated: Oct 31, 2021

{{UPDATED 10-31-21 NOON }} Will this week be a 'Trick' or 'Treat' to my bankroll?

The DFS gods were not kind to me last week as my cash line and one of my GPP lines fell just short of the money.

The Kansas City offense’s big dud in Tennessee was my downfall in my cash lineup. LA Rams’ Darrell Henderson Jr., Kansas City’s Darrel Williams and Mecole Hardman each had a snowflake over their scores. Plus, Washington’s inability to put the ball in the end zone left Green Bay with a comfortable lead and no need to use Devante Adams late in the game.

But that’s why we play the game. The volatility is always going to be there even if the process is correct.

I will be providing my main cash and GPP lineups on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/fantasyfbguru

BTW, my showdown lineups for the Sunday night, Monday night and Thursday night games have been on fire, cashing in all three last week.

And as a Halloween “Treat,” I will be providing everyone who subscribes to my blog with my cash line this week.

I will be limiting my plays to DraftKings the rest of the season. I tend to be more successful using DK’s PPR format.

Now onto the plays of the week!

Quarterback

High

Josh Allen, Buffalo ($8,100): Miami is giving up the third most fantasy points to QBs this season, and Allen should have a better game than the 17.7 points he scored earlier this year vs. the Dolphins.

Low

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia ($7,200): Hurts continues to score 20-plus points each week thanks to his rushing floor, and with 27 implied team points in a competitive game (48 over/under), he should continue his run.

Running Back

High

Derrick Henry, Tennessee ($8,900): I’m going back to the well this week after avoiding Henry in my cash lineup last week. Henry has had 2 sub-17 points scoring weeks this season but still averages 28.8 points on DK.

{{UPDATE}} D'Andre Swift, Detroit ($7,100): With Jamaal Williams inactive, Swift becomes a better play than Henry in your cash game lineups, but Henry is still a solid play.

Low

Kenneth Gainwell, Philadelphia ($5,000): Gainwell should have the valuable RB receiving role in the Philly offense in an expected high-scoring game.

Wide Receiver

High

Stefon Diggs, Buffalo ($8,100): Diggs is more of a GPP play for me, but he should see plenty of targets coming off the bye vs. a Miami defense that gives up 28.6 fantasy points to WRs.

Low

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit ($3,900): I know he didn’t receive a target last week but his price point and upside is hard to ignore for someone who only needs to score 12 points for a fire emoji.

Tight End

High

T.J. Hockenson, Detroit ($5,400): If you haven’t notice I have a theme going on about the Philadelphia-Detroit game – enjoy the offensive fireworks.

Low

Dan Arnold, Jacksonville ($2,800): He only needs to score 9 points for a fire emoji. How about 3 catches for 41 yards and touchdown?

DraftKings Cash Core

{{UPDATE}} Hurts, Swift, Chris Godwin, Arnold

Sneaky Stacks

Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Mike Gesicki

Jared Goff, D’Andre Swift, Kenneth Gainwell, T.J. Hockenson, DeVonta Smith

Last Week’s DK by the Numbers

QB: Patrick Mahomes II 9.74, Jalen Hurts 24.54

RB: Derrick Henry 16.4, Darrel Williams 8.00

WR: Davante Adams 19.6, Rashod Bateman 11.0

TE: Kyle Pitts 26.3, Mike Gesicki 21.50
