Forecast Week 11

Struggles continue but the Forecast must go on

Oh the agony of defeat continues!

Visions of the failed downhill skier during the opening of the old Wide World of Sports TV show has been the dancing in my head for several weeks now as I write my Forecast stories.

Week 10 Straight up record – 6-6-1. Yuck!

Week 10 Best Bets record – 1-4. A Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown UUGGHH!!!

Even in my Pick’em league with my co-workers I trail the leader by five games! It has not been a fun season with picks in the NFL – straight up or betting!

But it’s a new week and I must move on from the whining to give my “expert” opinion of winners and losers.

Onto to the games!

(Odds are based on BetMGM lines)

Detroit at Cleveland (Browns -12, 43 over/under): Nick Chubb is back, and the Lions are playing their back-up QB. Browns, 31-14

San Francisco at Jacksonville (49ers -6.5, 45.5): I don’t think the Jags can surprise another favorite. 49ers, 42-10

Indianapolis at Buffalo (Bills -7, 50): The DFS crowd may overlook this game with Dallas-Kansas City contest in the afternoon, but there should be plenty of offense in this game. Bills, 33-24

Miami at NY Jets (Dolphins -3, 45): A cool fact about this game, the current series is tied at 55-55-1. Dolphins, 20-17

Washington at Carolina (Panthers -3.5, 42.5): Revenge game for Cam? Panthers, 28-25

Baltimore at Chicago (Ravens -6, 45): So many issues for the Ravens coming into this game. It may come down to how healthy Lamar is. Ravens, 23-17

New Orleans at Philadelphia (Eagles -3, 42.5): The Saints have not played well in Philly in this series (3-10). Eagles, 21-16

Houston at Tennessee (Titans -10, 44.5): I’m still not sure how the Titans are the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Titans, 27-17

Green Bay at Minnesota (pick’em, 47): One would expect these two teams can score more than 47 points, but the total has dropped 3.5 points. Packers 21-18

Cincinnati at Las Vegas (Cincinnati -1, 50.5): Both of these teams are going in the wrong direction after solid starts. Raiders, 33-30

Arizona at Seattle (Arizona -1.5, 47.5): The rust is knocked off and Russ cooks. Seahawks, 28-21

Dallas at Kansas City (Chiefs -2.5 56): This games is a DFS dream, but these games have disappointed this year. Not this time! Chiefs, 38-35

Pittsburgh at LA Chargers (Chargers -6, 47.5): OK my Steelers bias is showing in this pick, but Big Ben returns. Steelers, 26-21

NY Giants at Tampa Bay (Buccaneers -10.5, 47.5): In their last five games at Tampa, the Giants are 4-1 and have scored 23 or more points and every game. Buccaneers, 32-29
