Forecast Week 12

Writer's picture: Danny CarpenterDanny Carpenter

Can the favorites rule the week?

This NFL season continues to be a tough one to figure out.

Picking the games – no problem!

Survivor picks – got it!

Best Bets – yuck!

Figuring out the right combo in DFS – dreadful!

I’ve run the whole gauntlet this NFL season in my season-long leagues as well.

I had another good week with the picks and Survivor, going 9-4 and sweeping my Survivor picks at 3-0.

Best Bets were the worst of the year – a nasty 0-fer (0-5 week).

All you can do is get back on the horse and try again.

Onto this week’s games!

(Odds are based on DraftKings lines)

Cincinnati at Tennessee (Bengals -1.5, over/under 43): The Titans just win ugly so expect an ugly game. Bengals, 27-21

Houston at Miami (Dolphins -14, 47): This is not a fair game. Dolphins, 34-17

Baltimore at Jacksonville (Ravens -3.5, 43.5): The Ravens will be tested. Ravens, 24-22

Atlanta at Washington (Commanders -3.5, 40.5): Most of the bad weather is going to miss this game. Commanders, 24-20

Chicago at NY Jets (Jets -7, 38.5): Wind, rain and an injured Justin Fields doesn’t spell well for the Bears. Jets, 22-16

Denver at Carolina (Broncos -1, 36): Have the Broncos fixed their problems waiving Melvin Gordon III? Broncos, 23-10

Tampa Bay at Cleveland (Buccaneers -3.5, 42): Will the wind and rain give the Browns an advantage? Buccaneers, 23-17

Las Vegas at Seattle (Seahawks -4, 47.5): We should expect plenty of offense in this game. Seahawks, 31-26

LA Chargers at Arizona (Chargers -3, 48.5): I’m taking the Chargers but I have a sneaky feeling I’m wrong. Chargers, 30-28

New Orleans at San Francisco (49ers -9, 43): The 49ers may be the best team in the NFC at this moment. 49ers, 33-21

LA Rams at Kansas City (Chiefs -15.5, 41.5): Big spread with a low over/under means an ugly game. Chiefs, 28-10

Green Bay at Philadelphia (Eagles -6.5, 46): Aaron Rodgers has played well in Philly in the past. It doesn’t matter this year. Eagles, 27-21

Pittsburgh at Indianapolis (Colts -2.5, 39): This is one of those games the Steelers shouldn’t win but will. Steelers, 23-20
