Forecast Week 3

Expect plenty of offense in Miami and Minnesota

Well, the crazy NFL season continues to baffle me with my picks!

I finished with sub-.500 record at 7-8 with my straight up picks, while my Survivor picks and Best Bets were actually on the winning side (go figure!).

My Survivor picks were 2-1 for the week, while I had my first winning week with Best Bets in a long time, going 3-2 for the week.

Enough on my woes on picking games – let’s get to this week’s games!

(Odds are based on DraftKings lines)

Kansas City at Indianapolis (Chiefs -5.5, 50.5 over/under): Patrick Mahomes does play better on the road and this should be an easy win on paper. Colts, 37-35

Buffalo at Miami (Bills -4.5, 53.5): Expect a shootout as both teams’ offenses are on fire. Bills, 42-40

Cincinnati at NY Jets (Bengals -6, 45): I hate picking road favs of 6 points or more, but the Bengals are due for a win. Bengals, 27-20

Philadelphia at Washington (Eagles -6.5, 47.5): Anther big road favorite. Ugh! Eagles, 30-24

Baltimore at New England (Ravens -2.5, 44): Expect a close game because the Ravens are hurting in the secondary. Ravens, 24-20

Detroit at Minnesota (Vikings -6, 52.5): The Lions’ defense is the weak link in this contest. Vikings, 38-27

Las Vegas at Tennessee (Raiders -2, 45.5): King Henry gets his season going in this matchup. Titans 24-21

New Orleans at Carolina (Saints -2.5, 41): This game has ugly written all over it. Saints, 3-0

Houston at Chicago (Bears -3, 39): I expect both teams rely on their running games. Texans, 17-14

Jacksonville at LA Chargers (Chargers -3, 42.5): Justin Herbert may not play, and it may not matter. Chargers, 27-20

Green Bay at Tampa Bay (Buccaneers -1.5, 42): The TB defense is not as good as it has been in the past. Packers, 24-17

LA Rams at Arizona (Rams -3.5, 48.5): There are still issues with Cardinals defense. Rams, 33-25

Atlanta at Seattle (Seahawks -1, 42): Another ugly game! Seahawks, 2-0

San Francisco at Denver (49ers -1.5, 44.5): Denver gets back on track. Broncos, 24-21

Dallas at NY Giants (Giants -1, 39): The Cowboys are 9-1 vs. the Giants in their last 10 matchups. Nothing changes! Cowboys, 17-14

Last week: 7-8 (.467)

Thursday record: 0-3 (.000)

Overall record: 15-17-1 (.470)

Survivor Picks: Cincinnati, New Orleans and LA Chargers.

Survivor Picks last week record: 2-1 (.667)

Survivor Picks overall record: 3-3 (.500)

Best Bets: Indianapolis +5.5, Buffalo-Miami over 53.5, Detroit-Minnesota over 52.5. Tennessee +2 and Denver +1.5.

Best Bets last week record: 3-2 (.600)

Thursday’s Best Bets: 1-2 (.333)
