Forecast Week 4

There should be plenty of offense on this week's slate

The bounce back was a nice for my Forecast picks.

The first two weeks of the season were a struggle to get above .500, but my 10-5 week helped me eclipse that barrier after Week 3.

My Survivor picks continue to be on the losing side, going 1-2 and falling out of my home Survivor pool as well with the LA Chargers losing at home vs. Jacksonville.

As for my Best Bets, I’m on a little winning streak (those were few and far between last year) as I finished with 3-2 record for the week. If I had waited on the Detroit-Minnesota over/under dropping to a 51 about an hour before the game, I would have been 4-1.

Oh well, the beauty of gambling!

Onto this week’s games!

(Odds are based on DraftKings lines)

Minnesota vs. New Orleans at London (Vikings -3.5, 41 over/under): I like football starting early on Sundays. Vikings, 24-17

Jacksonville at Philadelphia (Eagles -6.5, 45.5): Are the Jaguars for real? We find out this week. Eagles, 31-24

Tennessee at Indianapolis (Colts -3.5, 43): The Colts righted their season last week. Colts, 27-20

Buffalo at Baltimore (Bills -3, 51): Top QBs leading explosive offenses point to a high scoring game. Bills, 38-28

Washington at Dallas (Cowboys -3, 41.5): This game should remain close. Cowboys, 24-21

Cleveland at Atlanta (Browns -1, 47.5): I expect the high over/under number to hold up to its mark. Browns, 31-28

LA Chargers at Houston (Chargers -5.5, 45): Don’t forget the Texans destroyed the Chargers last year in Houston. Chargers, 24-21

NY Jets at Pittsburgh (Steelers -3.5, 41.5): This is a game the Steelers should win but probably won’t. Steelers, 15-14

Seattle at Detroit (Lions -3.5, 47.5): In my pick’em contest with my co-workers, I took the Lions. I’m having a change of heart. Seahawks, 28-25

Chicago at NY Giants (Giants -2.5, 38.5): Ugly offense vs. ugly offense. Giants, 3-0

Arizona at Carolina (Panthers -1, 43.5): The Cardinals have more talent than the Panthers but that doesn’t always win in the NFL. Cardinals, 13-12

Denver at Las Vegas (Raiders -2.5, 45): The Raiders will remain the only winless team in the NFL. Broncos, 24-22

New England at Green Bay (Packers -9, 40): The Packers roll again at home. Packers, 30-17

Kansas City at Tampa Bay (Buccaneers -1, 45.5): One of these teams will be on a two-game losing streak after this game. Buccaneers, 34-29

LA Rams at San Francisco (49ers -1.5, 42.5): The 49ers seem to have the Rams’ number. 49ers, 20-17

Last week: 10-5 (.667)

Thursday record: 1-3 (.250)

Overall record: 26-22-1 (.540)

Survivor Picks: Philadelphia, NY Giants and Green Bay.
