Forecast Week 5

Kenny Pickett's 1st start ends with a loss

OK, maybe I’m starting to find my groove in my Forecast picks.

I finished with a solid 10-5 record in Week 4 and swept my three Survivor picks.

However, my best bets continue to plague me. But at least I’m not finishing with losing record like most of last year. Last week I had a 2-2-1 mark in my Best Bets.

Onto this week’s games!

(Odds are based on DraftKings lines)

NY Giants at Green Bay (Packers -7.5, 41.5 over/under): Another ho-hum game in London. Packers, 27-17

Pittsburgh at Buffalo (Bills -14, 46): Kenny Pickett makes his NFL starting debut, but it’s a tough start. Bills, 27-14

Atlanta at Tampa Bay (Buccaneers -10, 46): Tom Brady runs his record vs. Atlanta to 11-0. Buccaneers, 38-22

LA Chargers at Cleveland (Chargers -2, 47): The over/under number may not be high enough for this game. Chargers, 37-30

Tennessee at Washington (Titans -1, 43): A battle between underachieving teams, so I will take the home underdog. Commanders, 23-17

Detroit at New England (Patriots -3.5, 45.5): Well, it was fun while it lasted for the Detroit offense. Patriots, 24-14

Chicago at Minnesota (Vikings -7.5, 44): These games tend to be lackluster on the offensive side of the ball. Vikings, 23-10

Houston at Jacksonville (Jaguars -7, 43.5): The Jaguars have a legitimate shot of winning the AFC South. Jaguars, 27-24

Miami at NY Jets (Dolphins -3.5, 45): The line says it should be close – I agree. Dolphins, 23-20

Seattle at New Orleans (Saints -5, 45): Will the Seahawks win on the road again? Yes they will. Seahawks, 24-21

San Francisco at Carolina (49ers -6.5, 39.5): Baker Mayfield’s season gets even worse vs. the San Fran D. 49ers, 28-17

Philadelphia at Arizona (Eagles -5, 48.5): OK, this is the trap game of the week. Cardinals, 38-31

Dallas at LA Rams (Rams -5.5, 42): I think the wrong team is favored in this game. Cowboys, 21-17

Cincinnati at Baltimore (Ravens -3.5, 47.5): Lamar does his magic as the Bengals’ frustrating season continues. Ravens, 31-28

Las Vegas at Kansas City (Chiefs -7, 51.5): In the last nine seasons playing at Arrowhead, the Raiders have only scored more than 17 points once. Chiefs, 34-17
