Forecast Week 9

Chiefs play host to Rodgers-less Packers

The struggle has been real this year for my Forecast picks.

I finished with my first .500 or worse week of the season with a 7-7 record during Week 8.

And my Best Bets were a struggle again.

Three Best Bets wins in three week makes for a long season as I finished with a 1-4 record last week. Hopefully, my usual successful run of picks around the holidays starts a little early this year.

My Survivor Picks keep holding steady with another 2-1 week despite the fact I was eliminated from my home Survivor league when I choose the LA Chargers over Seattle last week. At least it’s now one less thing to do on Sunday mornings.

Onto the games!

(Odds are based on BetMGM lines)

Houston at Miami (Dolphins -5.5, 46 over/under): The Texans hold an 8-1 record in this series. Texans, 27-24

Denver at Dallas (Cowboys -10, 49.5): The Broncos have won sixth straight in this series. Cowboys, 24-20

Minnesota at Baltimore (Ravens -6, 50): The Ravens have won 3 of 4 home games in this series. Ravens, 30-25

New England at Carolina (Patriots -3.5, 41.5): I really do think Vegas has the wrong team favored in this matchup. Panthers, 21-20

Buffalo at Jacksonville (Bills -14.5, 48.5): There are no historical trends for this game. Bills, 35-18

Cleveland at Cincinnati (Bengals -2.5, 47): The Browns are 5-1 in their last six vs. the Bengals and may have gotten better from addition by subtraction. Browns, 24-21

Las Vegas at NY Giants (Raiders -3, 46.5): The Giants have won 3 of the last 4 vs. the Raiders, who have not won in NYC since 2001. Raiders, 23-20

Atlanta at New Orleans (Saints -6.5, 42): The Saints are 5-1 vs. the Falcons the last three years. Saints, 20-13

LA Chargers at Philadelphia (Chargers -1.5, 50): Expect a lot of offensive fireworks in this contest. Chargers, 34-29

Green Bay at Kansas City (Chiefs -7, 48): Well, we will have to wait again to see Rodgers vs. Mahomes. Chiefs, 27-24

Arizona at San Francisco (49ers -2.5, 45.5): I don’t think the Cardinals will have Kyler Murray or DeAndre Hopkins in this game. 49ers, 23-14

Tennessee at LA Rams (Rams -7, 52.5): It will be interesting to see the Titans offense without Derrick Henry. Rams, 40-24

Chicago at Pittsburgh (Steelers -6.5, 38.5): Justin Fields say hello to T.J. Watt. Steelers, 23-10
