Forecast Week 9

Jaguars to pull small upset vs. East-traveling Raiders

The NFL's Week 8 was bountiful for me!

I had a great week in DFS, and it was sizzling with my picks in my Forecast.

I finished with 195.34 points with my cash lineup in DFS, and I had an 11-3 record with my picks last week. My Survivor picks were flawless with a 3-0 week, and my Best Bets were a D.J. Moore late game TD away from Atlanta covering the 4-point spread and finishing with a 4-1 week.

As crazy this NFL season has been I’ll take a winning week in my Best Bets.

Onto this week’s games!

(Odds are based on DraftKings lines)

Miami at Chicago (Dolphins -4.5, 46.5 over/under): The Dolphins are getting healthier in their defensive backfield, but the Bears still keep this close. Dolphins, 27-24

Buffalo at NY Jets (Bills -11, 46): I have a sneaky suspicion that this game goes under. Bills, 24-13

Minnesota at Washington (Vikings -3, 43.5): One would expect Justin Jefferson would have a big day for the Vikings, but the low over/under has me concerned. Vikings, 23-17

Carolina at Cincinnati (Bengals -7.5, 42.5): Another game with an unexpectedly over/under. Bengals, 23-13

LA Chargers at Atlanta (Chargers -3, 49.5): The Falcons offense needs to be its efficient self because their defense won’t stop a depleted Chargers offense. Chargers, 33-20

Green Bay at Detroit (Packers -3, 49.5): A get right game for Aaron Rodgers. Packers, 37-24

Indianapolis at New England (Patriots -5.5, 40): A quarterback making his second career start vs. a Bill Belichick team – easy choice. Patriots, 23-10

Las Vegas at Jacksonville (Raiders -2.5, 48): I think the oddsmakers forgot the Raiders are the worst of the West Coast team to play in 1 p.m. games in recent years. Jaguars, 27-24

Seattle at Arizona (Cardinals -2, 49): I think this will be competitive high-scoring game compared to the matchup from a few weeks ago. Seahawks, 31-30

LA Rams at Tampa Bay (Buccaneers -3, 42.5): This game has ugly written all over it, and it is our national 4 p.m. game. Buccaneers, 23-17

Tennessee at Kansas City (Chiefs -12.5, 45.5): Another ugly game on paper. Chiefs, 27-17

Baltimore at New Orleans (Ravens -2, 47): Expect some offensive fireworks to save the NFL from the Rams-Bucs and Titans-Chiefs debacles. Ravens, 32-27

Last week: 11-3 (.692)

Thursday record: 3-5 (.286)

Overall record: 75-49-1 (.604)

Survivor Picks: Cincinnati, Green Bay and Kansas City.

Last week: 3-0 (1.000)

Overall record: 16-8 (.667)

Best Bets: Buffalo-NY Jets under 46, Green Bay -3, Jacksonville +2.5, Seattle-Arizona over 49 and Baltimore-New Orleans over 47.

Last week: 3-2 (.600)

Thursday’s Best Bets: 3-5 (.375)

Overall record: 20-28-1 (.418)
