Let's put together big winning lineup
I’ve been so hit and miss with my lineups most of the season and last week was the same.
I have plenty of good plays but I can’t seem to put them all together in a big lineup.
Only have one or two players go off doesn’t reach the green in DFS and it’s frustrating.
But with Christmas almost upon us, I’m going to gift everyone my spreadsheet the rest of the season and give me a shout out if you can pull out a big win with it.
The spreadsheet will be included at the bottom of my story the rest of the season.
So let’s go out and win some big money for the holidays!
Onto this week’s Top Plays:
My Top Play
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers, NY Jets ($5,600, 4 percent)
Rodgers has seen a resurgence the last few weeks and now the LA Rams questionable pass defense comes to NYC. The Rams have had an up and down season on defense and had the benefit of the weather last week in San Francisco. But an East Coast trip for a 1 p.m. may be the thing the Jets need to take advantage. Rodgers has averaged 271 yards passing the since the Jets bye, which included 6 TDs and 1 interception.
Other QBs
Arizona’s Kyler Murray ($6,100, 15 percent) will be one of the highest rostered QBs on the Main Slate, but his matchup against Carolina is hard to ignore. Atlanta’s Michael Penix Jr. ($4,500, 11 percent) is the bare minimum price at QB and the Falcons offense can be explosive. Kirk Cousins had thrown 17 TD passes before his recent 1-to-9 TD-interception ratio in the last five games. Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa ($6,000, 1 percent), Jacksonville’s Mac Jones ($5,200, 2 percent) and Las Vegas’ Aiden O’Connell ($5,100, 6 percent) are great sneaky GPP plays.
My Top Play
Running Back
Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit ($7,500, 35 percent)
Gibbs finally gets the Detroit backfield to himself as David Montgomery suffered a knee injury last week. Gibbs averaged 25-plus DraftKings points last season when Monty missed time last season. He is an easy play in both cash and GPP lineups today despite the rostered numbers.
Other RBs
Atlanta’s Bijan Robinson ($8,100, 16 percent) will still have a big role in the offense with rookie Penix Jr. starting at QB. Robinson has been the most consistent RB in DFS this season. He has scored 20-plus DK points in 7 of the last 9 games. Arizona’s James Conner ($7,100, 21 percent) faces the Carolina’s 32nd ranked run defense. The Panthers give up 173 rush yards a game this season, 29 yards more than the 31st ranked team. Buffalo’s James Cook ($7,000, 8 percent) has been a boom or bust guy this season, but when he booms, you need in your lineup for a takedown.
My Top Play
Wide Receiver
Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati ($8,500, 15 percent)
It appears the Bengals are going for the receiving Triple Crown for Chase. He leads the league in receptions, yards receiving had receiving TDs heading into Week 16. He has seen double digit targets in 6 of his last 7 games and has scored 9 TDs in that span.
Other WRs
NY Jets’ Davante Adams ($7,100, 12 percent) comes in as my top value at WR this week. Adams has been a beast the last three weeks, averaging 30.77 DK points. He should see double-digit targets again this week. The Chicago duo of D.J. Moore ($5,700, 10 percent) and Keenan Allen ($5,300, 9 percent) stand out as pieces to add in the mid-price range. Carolina’s Jalen Coker ($4,200, 6 percent) and Miami’s Malik Washington ($3,700, 6 percent) are great pay down options.
My Top Play
Tight End
Brenton Strange, Jacksonville ($3,500, 4 percent)
Strange continues to be a great play with Evan Engram out. Strange was targeted 12 times last week and he hauled in 11 for 73 yards. Mac Jones has been known to lock in TEs while his time New England.
Other TEs
A quick listing:
- Brock Bowers, Las Vegas ($6,500, 11 percent)
- Trey McBride, Arizona ($6,200, 9 percent)
- Sam LaPorta, Detroit ($4,700, 7 percent)
Top DSTs
Minnesota ($3,500, 2 percent) at Seattle
Tennessee ($2,600, 4 percent) at Indianapolis
NY Jets ($2,500, 7 percent) home against LA Rams
