Three-game slate can bring a big payday
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, but it now time to focus on the final weeks of the NFL regular season.
I’m going to keep today’s edition of my NFL DFS story short.
A very busy and grateful week has me a little behind of doing my spreadsheets.
Plus, I will be providing my spreadsheet the rest of the season and it will be at the bottom of my story.
Onto my Top Plays:
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford, LA Rams ($5,700, 9 percent)
This is more than a game theory play with his low expected rostered numbers, but he also ranks as the top value on my spreadsheet despite two straight weeks of scoring sub-10 DraftKings points. The Rams are currently the NFC West leaders despite starting the season 1-4, and Stafford is the big reason for the Rams resurgence. Before the last two weeks, Stafford was averaging 18.35 DK points since LA’s bye.
Running Back
Kyren Williams, LA Rams ($7,500, 76 percent)
I think you have to play Williams on this slate even if he fails. The 76 percent rostered number is too big to ignore, and you can play with Stafford and Rams WR as well. Williams has touched the ball 28 times in his last 3 games and I don’t expect this change as LA has an outside chance of winning the division this weekend.
Wide Receiver
Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati ($8,400, 45 percent)
Chase is best WR on the slate with only Puka Nacua ($8,000, 49 percent) close to him as the best play. Chase has pedestrian by his standards the last two weeks but still scored 22.4 and 18.4 DK points. And if he has a boom week, Chase will probably bring you home a lot of money.
Tight End
Lucas Krull, Denver ($2,600, 2 percent)
I know Trey McBride ($6,200, 31 percent) is a great play today, but Krull’s salary and his rostered numbers are for today’s short slate. During the Broncos last three games, Krull has been tied or led the TEs in target shares. Give me the cheap salary and rostered numbers with Krull.
