NFL DFS Week 6

Struggle is real but there's always a new week

This NFL DFS season has been frustrating!

Again I struggled to make competitive cash lineup as I finished with only 106.76 points last week.

I’m not sure if I’m being too cute with my cash builds or just a run of a really bad process.

And it’s not because my spreadsheet isn’t producing as well. The Joe Burrow double stack with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins was golden last week. That lineup scored 183.48 points as I had Tucker Kraft with that threesome.

But it’s a new week to win some money!

Don’t forget to check out my spreadsheet, and you can use the sheet for prop bets as well.

This year Patreon is allowing weekly trials. For $5 ($7.50 of IoS), you can check my spreadsheet on a weekly basis. And if you like, you can get the whole month for $15.

Onto this week’s Top Cash Plays:

My Top Play

Quarterback

Spencer Rattler, New Orleans ($4,000)

Thanks to the pricing for the Main Slate coming out Monday afternoon, Rattler was priced at the bare minimum on DraftKings. Derek Carr was injured in the Monday Night game.

Rattler only needs to score 12 points to reach fire emoji status, but his cheap salary will allow you stack the rest of your lineup with higher-priced studs.

And it appears he may not be too highly owned in GPPs.

Other Cash QB

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore ($7,800)

Jackson is the most expensive QB on the Main Slate, but he is coming in at less than 10 percent rostered.

And Jackson may be slate proof this year.

When the Ravens have had leads, Jackson and Derrick Henry pound teams with the run, but Jackson proved last week he can win games with his arm (and score plenty of fantasy points, too).

Sneaky GPP QB

Justin Fields, Pittsburgh ($5,800)

My Top Play

Running Back

Derrick Henry, Baltimore ($8,000)

Like I said last week, I will continue to play Henry as my cash core RB.

Even in an off week, Henry still scored 16.6 DK points, but a big run in overtime helped that score.

But the Ravens enter the game as 6.5-point favorites vs. a still questionable Washington defense.

Other Cash RB

Tony Pollard, Tennessee ($6,000)

Pollard is probably going to be chalky this week, in the 25 percent rostered range.

But the Titans have leaned heavily on him in the run game. He has carried the ball at least 16 times in 3 of 4 games this season.

And he’s averaged 77.3 rushing yards in those three games.

Plus, the Indianapolis run defense is a bottom 10 unit.

Sneaky GPP RB

David Montgomery, Detroit ($6,500)

My Top Play

Wide Receiver

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit ($8,100)

He may be expensive but I think the Detroit offense can do what it wants against Dallas.

Since his opening week dud, St. Brown has rattled more than 20 DK points in three straight games.

He has seen 33 targets in those three games and has caught a TD in his last two.

Other Cash WR

Drake London, Atlanta ($6,700)

London has piled up 43 targets in his last four games after his opening week stinker.

He had 12 catches for 154 yards and 1 touchdown in his last matchup, a win vs. Tampa Bay.

And Carolina’s pass defense is a bottom 10 team vs. points scored by WR on DraftKings.

Sneaky GPP WR

Stefon Diggs, Houston ($7,400)

My Top Play

Tight End

Jake Ferguson, Dallas ($5,000)

I’m expecting plenty of offense in the Cowboys vs. Detroit game, and when Dak Prescott needs a big catch on third down, he’s usually looking Ferguson’s way.

After missing Week 2, Ferguson has seen 25 targets in his last three games and scored at least 11.9 points or more in those three games.

The Lions have been tough on TEs this season but he had 6 targets and 4 catches in last year’s big matchup.

Other Cash TE

Trey McBride, Arizona ($5,700)

It’s hard to stay away from the higher priced TEs this week with their favorable matchups.

McBride has had a slow start this season, which includes a missed game for a concussion, but he continues to be a target hog for the Cardinals.

He has seen 30 targets in his 4 games this season and is averaging 10.9 DK points in those games.

Sneaky GPP TE

Brock Bowers, Las Vegas ($6,000)

Top DST

Pittsburgh ($3,700) at Las Vegas

Denver ($3,200) home against LA Chargers
