Waiver Wire Frenzy Week 11

Green Bay's Watson zooms to top of list

The playoff drive begins this week for some teams, while others are playing out their season.

The Waiver Wire Frenzy can be a friend or foe for your team down this stretch.

In salary cap leagues, hopefully you were frugal with your FAAB to nab the final piece to your playoff puzzle. In waiver wire leagues, hopefully you use your picks wisely so you didn’t waste precious priority position.

Well enough with the chit chat, onto this week’s top waiver wire players!

(Waiver wire options are based on Yahoo! Sports and ESPN players who are on less than 50 percent of rosters.)

Quarterback

Deshaun Watson, Cleveland (37 percent Yahoo! & 28 percent ESPN)

The Browns have already said he is their starter when he returns.

Marcus Mariota, Atlanta (33 percent Yahoo! & 38 percent ESPN)

He still remains a solid No. 2 guy in single QB leagues and superflex leagues.

Matt Ryan, Indianapolis (11 percent Yahoo! & 7 percent ESPN)

If he’s starting, he’s worthy of a roster spot.

STASH CAN: Desmond Ridder, Atlanta (1 percent Yahoo! & 0 percent ESPN)

Running back

Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City (24 percent Yahoo! & 23 percent ESPN)

In his first game of receiving more than 50 percent of the snaps, he finished with 82 yards rushing.

Rachaad White, Tampa Bay (44 percent Yahoo! & 24 percent ESPN)

He started and finished with 22 carries for 105 yards.

Jerrick McKinnon, Kansas City (16 percent Yahoo! & 18 percent ESPN)

The receiving RB role is all his for the Chiefs.

Kyren Williams, LA Rams (42 percent Yahoo! & 15 percent ESPN)

He outsnapped Cam Akers.

Kenneth Gainwell, Philadelphia (16 percent Yahoo! & 9 percent ESPN)

The clear No. 2 for the Eagles.

STASH CAN: Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh (27 percent Yahoo! & 12 percent ESPN)

Wide receiver

Christian Watson, Green Bay (8 percent Yahoo! & 6 percent ESPN)

Did the breakout finally happen? I think so.

Van Jefferson, LA Rams (7 percent Yahoo! & 7 percent ESPN)

He should see an uptick in usage with Cooper Kupp on the shelf.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland (35 percent Yahoo! & 21 percent ESPN)

His outlook improves with Watson at QB.

Darius Slayton, NY Giants (6 percent Yahoo! & 5 percent ESPN)

He and Daniel Jones are developing a knack for big plays or TDs.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kansas City (41 percent Yahoo! & 48 percent ESPN)

Kadarius Toney actually opens up the deep game for MVS.

Treylon Burks, Tennessee (20 percent Yahoo! & 24 percent ESPN)

I’d rather have Burks over one-game wonder Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

STASH CAN: Jahan Dotson, Washington (21 percent Yahoo! & 33 percent ESPN)

Tight end

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans (12 percent Yahoo! & 8 percent ESPN)

Brutally criminal he’s not on more rosters!

Hayden Hurst, Cincinnati (48 percent Yahoo! & 48 percent ESPN)

Still has a decent role in an explosive offense.

Foster Moreau, Las Vegas (16 percent Yahoo! & 11 percent ESPN)

The TE No. 1 for the Raiders until Darren Waller comes of the IR.

STASH CAN: Trey McBride, Arizona (0 percent Yahoo! & 0 percent ESPN)
