Waiver Wire Frenzy Week 3

Familiar faces return for a 2nd week on wavier list

Hopefully, you avoided the big splurge on Eli Mitchell last week as some leagues saw team managers blast through their whole FAAB to nab the San Francisco rookie.

Mitchell finished with a mediocre 42 yards rushing and a shoulder stinger, leaving his availability for Sunday in question.

But the Waiver Wire Frenzy never stops!

This week two quarterbacks and two young wide receivers return to the list as they continue to be low rostered on Yahoo! Sports and ESPN.

Quarterback

Derek Carr, Las Vegas (27 percent Yahoo! & 17 percent ESPN)

He has quietly dismantled two of the better defenses in the AFC.

Daniel Jones, NY Giants (20 percent Yahoo! & 11 percent ESPN)

His running ability and his new-found ball security should make his rostered numbers soar.

Teddy Bridgewater, Denver (17 percent Yahoo! & 15 percent ESPN)

Sam Darnold, Carolina (15 percent Yahoo! & 6 percent ESPN)

Their early success makes them great options as No. 2 QBs in superflex formats

Running Backs

Cordarrelle Patterson, Atlanta (15 percent Yahoo! & 8 percent ESPN)

He and Mike Davis has been splitting RB duties and Patterson has put up better numbers.

J.D. McKissic, Washington (29 percent Yahoo! & 42 percent ESPN)

Became relevant again with a big receiving game vs. Giants.

Peyton Barber, Las Vegas (10 percent Yahoo! & 4 percent ESPN)

Had 13 carries in fill-in role.

Jacques Patrick, San Francisco (0 percent Yahoo! & 0 percent ESPN)

Remember you heard this name here first as a waiver wire add!

Wide Receivers

Rondale Moore, Arizona (34 percent Yahoo! & 19 percent ESPN)

Rookie saw his snaps and production increase.

Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo (22 percent Yahoo! & 21 percent ESPN)

13 targets in two games with his new team.

Quintez Cephus, Detroit (2 percent Yahoo! & 1 percent ESPN)

Played well, scoring a TD, in a more prominent role.

K.J. Osborn, Minnesota (3 percent Yahoo! & 1 percent ESPN)

15 targets in two games for the second-year player.

Tight Ends

Austin Hooper, Cleveland (48 percent Yahoo! & 49 percent ESPN)

With injuries to the wide receiver group, Hooper is the Browns’ top TE.

Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh (7 percent Yahoo! & 5 percent ESPN)

Has out snapped Eric Ebron in both Steelers’ games.
