Week 1 DFS

(Updated 9-12-21) Miss out on some picks in your drafts - no problem, use them in DFS

The first big weekend for NFL DFS may be the best time of the year, especially on DraftKings with its pricing.

Each week I plan to give you some of the top options on both DK and FanDuel to may be help you bring home a big win.

The thing I love about DFS is if I missed on some of picks in my preseason drafts here is my chance to use those players in a lineup and a chance to win some money!

Quarterback

High

Kyler Murray, Arizona ($7,600 DK, $8,400 FD): Murray is the second most expensive QB on both sites, but Tennessee’s weakness is their defense. Plus, this game has the second highest total of the weekend with 53 points.

Low

Zach Wilson, NY Jets ($5,000 DK, $6,500 FD): Wilson may be the most overlooked rookie QB and he played well in the preseason. The total in this game has moved from 43.5 to 45 bodes well for scoring.

Running back

High

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans ($8,600 DK, $8,600 FD): The Packers struggled vs. RB last season and with Jameis Winston as the starting QB, Kamara should be more involved in the passing game.

Low

Trey Sermon, San Francisco ($4,500 DK, $5,200 FD) (AVOID - INACTIVE TODAY): The 49ers may have a big lead in the second half to give the rookie RB a chance to be a GPP spot play.

PIVOT PLAY: Devin Singletary, Buffalo ($4,700 DK, $5,300 FD

Wide Receiver

High

Davante Adams, Green Bay ($8,300 DK, $8,600 FD): Adams averaged in the 20s last year on both sites and it shouldn’t change this year as he and Aaron Rodgers begin their “Last Dance.”

Low

Marquez Callaway ($3,400 DK, $5,000 FD): The second-year WR was a favorite target in the offense, and Winston connected with Callaway for 2 TDs vs. the Jaguars in the preseason.

Tight End

High

Travis Kelce, Kansas City ($8,300 DK, $8,500 FD): I usually like to pay down for my TEs but Kelce has a great matchup vs. the Browns

Low

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta ($4,400 DK, $6,000 FD): This is more based on his price on DK. He should be the No. 2 option behind Calvin Ridley for Matt Ryan.

Here are a few of my favorite cores (I avoid cash games on FanDuel because I'm not comfortable with half-ppr in cash):

DraftKings Cash Core

Murray, Kamara, Callaway, Pitts

Sneaky Stacks

Wilson, Christian McCaffrey, Corey Davis, Elijah Moore

Taylor, Marvin Jones Jr., Jordan Akins
