Hey all and welcome to the Week 14 GPP Recap! Things went quite well for me yesterday. The chalk finally did not hit! Late in the afternoon I was toying with a top 5 finish. Alas, it was not meant to be, but I will take a top 15 finish and the chunk of change that went with it!
Let's get into it.
Week 14 GPP Ownership Review
Below are the highest owned players in Week 14 GPPs. To the left are the Sunday morning final ownership projections, on the right are the Week 14 GPP actual ones.
Amon-Ra St. Brown - 26.6% / 40%
The Dallas Cowboys - 12% / 32%
Tony Pollard - 19.2% / 27.1%
Justin Jefferson - 19% / 23.6%
D'Andre Swift - 18.9% / 22.3%
Garrett Wilson - 15.2% / 20.9%
Greg Dulcich - 15.2% / 20.6%
Jared Goff - 16.6% / 20.2%
D'Onta Foreman - 9% / 20%
Derrick Henry - 22.2% / 19.4%
Joe Mixon - 21.6% / 19.1%
TJ Hockenson - 8.8% / 16.7%
Week 14 GPP Ownership Takes
I went full fade on Amon-Ra, Dulcich, and the Dallas Cowboys. I'm feeling like a genius this Monday morning.
Once again I knew CMC's ownership projection (11.2%) was hogwash. He came in at 6.3%. That is why I played him.
The projections are still not perfect. Foreman's and Hockenson's numbers were not accurate. I played too much Foreman in Week 14 GPPs and would have definitely played less if the numbers were more accurate. This is also applicable to Cedee Lamb as he was 9.4% and not 20% like the projections suggested.

The Good
Since I made the decision to fade the Sun God, getting exposure to them in my Kirk Cousins' stacks was a route I still wanted to go. I was over the field on DJ Chark, and at his price point, he fit in quite nicely. I ultimately decided that I couldn't fully fade this game, but that I could attack it without stacking Goff and Amon-Ra together. This is why ownership matters.
Evan Engram was not a recommendation of mine, but I played a lot of Derrick Henry. I figured if he was going to go off, then the Jags would be throwing. I had a good amount of Kirk, Jones and Engram as those run backs. You needed Engram to do well in Week 14 GPPs. It was good fortune that I lucked into him based on my strategy.
Pretty much everyone on the Eagles had some fun on Sunday. I had a few of them sprinkled throughout my lineups.
CMC and Henry were my preferred get to spots at the RB position. A low owned CMC might be something to always consider.
The Neutral
It was great to see Jameson Williams make noise and announce his arrival in the NFL. He wasn't in the optimal though.
The Seahawks and Panthers game did not go the way that I thought. Metcalf and Lockett were serviceable enough and didn't sink the lineups in which I had them in, but ultimately they were not good enough.
The Bad
Right around the time that McKinnon was scoring his 2nd TD was when I was coming to the realization that a top 5 finish was not in the cards this week. I played zero McKinnon. He was 2.5% owned.
Staying with the Chiefs, some more JuJu Smith-Schuster might have been nice. I may have had him in like one lineup.
I ended up only having a few Tyler Huntley and Mark Andrews lineups. I'm glad I didn't go all in on that matchup but the few I did make were akin to lighting money on fire.
Despite realizing that the Jaguars might have to throw if Henry was having a good day, I didn't play any Trevor Lawrence. This is my own bias getting in the way as I do not think Lawrence is really any good. He's apparently good enough to win a Week 14 GPP though, which is what my focus needs to be.
I played zero Jerry Jeudy. I'm actually a little shocked he was 10% owned. While the situation he was in, WR1 and a matchup with the Chiefs, was good, I simply do not trust Russell Wilson. I don't think that's unwarranted.
In a wild situation, Tee Higgins was "lost during pregame warmups," according to HC Zac Taylor. Tee Higgins then supposedly "snuck" onto the field for the first offensive snap. He then didn't play for the rest of the game and no one reported this prior to kickoff. Bengal beat writers should be embarrassed that they stink at their jobs. It also hurt my Burrow stacks, which I'll be honest, is what I'm really pissed about.
Catch you all next week! Thanks for checking out my Week 14 GPP Recap!
