DFS Week 11

Fighting the frustration doldrums

Week in and week out playing DFS can be frustrating.

Spreadsheet completed, check!

Lineups made, check!

Watch games on Sunday, check!

Watch winnings dwindle as the day goes on as games fizzle out from blowouts or teams refusing to use the player like they did in the first half.

Oh the frustration!

But we have to remember on any given Sunday can change our season in NFL DFS.

Last week my cash lineup crash and burned with only 115.26 points. My QB-WR combo Will Levis and Deandre Hopkins disappointed with 12.66 points, and I choose Tony Pollard over Mike Evans in my flex spot, a difference of 23.8 points.

Onto this week’s plays!

I am providing my spreadsheet and main cash and some GPP lineups on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/fantasyfbguru

The spreadsheet continues to provide the right players (including the chalky ones), but I’ve been a little slow to adjust to this year’s winning ways. Check it out and stop missing out on a cheap monthly deal!

My Top Play

Quarterback

Kyler Murray, Arizona ($6,100): Murray returned from his ACL injury and led the Cardinals to a win over Atlanta last week.

He had a modest day of 18.3 points, but he wasn’t afraid to run. He finished with 249 yards passing and 33 yards rushing. His only TD was on the ground.

Now the Cardinals face the hot offense of Houston led by C.J. Stroud. The game features the highest total of the Main Slate at 48.5. Murray will be pushed to hang with the Texans.

Other Cash QBs

Dak Prescott, Dallas ($7,300)

Brock Purdy, San Francisco ($5,800)

Prescott and the Cowboys have the hottest passing game in the league as they have averaged 360.7 yards passing a game in their last three contests. Purdy has the benefit of a healthy offensive cast, and he has averaged 311 yards passing in his last three games.

Sneaky GPP QB

Justin Fields, Chicago ($6,900)

My Top Play

Running Back

Austin Ekeler, LA Chargers ($8,600): Ekeler has scored 20 or more DraftKings points in his last three games and the Chargers may have to rely on their do-everything RB even more on Sunday.

Two of the Chargers top 3 WRs have injury designations, and starting TE Gerald Everett is missing the game with a chest injury.

Ekeler’s passing volume has been lacking lately, but he may see double-digit targets vs. a Green Bay defense. The Packers are in the bottom 10 of the league in allowing fantasy points to RBs.

Other Cash RBs

Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit ($7,000)

De’Von Achane, Miami ($6,600)

These two rookie RBs share their backfields, but they are also the explosive running back of their duos. Gibbs had 17 touches last week as he shared the backfield with David Montgomery, who returned from injury. Achane is coming off a knee injury this week, but in limited touches this season, he is averaging 11.2 yards a touch.

Sneaky GPP RB

Rachaad White, Tampa Bay ($6,000)

My Top Play

Wide Receiver

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit ($8,800): After tinkering with lineup builds, I found stuffing in any of the 9K or above WRs was not feasible. So I’m going with the next best thing in St. Brown.

His workload continues to be top level as he’s seen 52 targets in his last four games. He has also produced a 100-yard game in each of them.

Other Cash WRs

Cooper Kupp, LA Rams ($8,100)

Tank Dell, Houston ($5,900)

Kupp has had a lackluster season by his standards so far. Injuries and poor QB play has plagued Kupp and Rams WR corps, but Matthew Stafford returns to the lineup in a game vs. Seattle with a 46.5 total. Dell is part of the Main Slate’s highest total, and Noah Brown is not expected to play.

Sneaky GPP WR

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay ($7,400)

My Top Play

Tight End

Trey McBride, Arizona ($4,400): McBride has become a focal point of the Cardinals passing game with 34 targets in his last four games.

During that stretch, he has two 8-catch games under belt, and Murray looked his way nine times last week.

I’m becoming a broken record – McBride is an offensive cog of the highest total of the slate.

Other Cash TE

George Kittle, San Francisco ($6,400): This is a spreadsheet play, but with everyone healthy on offense for the 49ers, this could backfire easily.

Sneaky GPP TE

Tyler Conklin, NY Jets ($2,900)

My Top Play

DST

Green Bay ($2,300) home against LA Chargers: The Chargers tend to be less potent on offense on the road than at home.

And I know it doesn’t correlate well with Ekeler as my Top Play at RB, but the Chargers will put the ball in the air 30-plus times in this game.

Other Cash DST

Miami ($3,200) home against Las Vegas

Sneaky GPP DST

Detroit ($3,800) home against Chicago
