Herbert, Chargers get dream matchup vs. Titans bad pass defense
Hopefully by the time you are reading this, the Saturday NFL DFS slate is turning into a successful one for you.
I hope a little luck continues from last weekend’s big win and a little of the luck rubs off on all our DFS lineups this weekend. And don’t forget to check out Boris’ breakdown of rostership numbers and GPP stacks!
Onto to Sunday’s main slate top players!
I will be providing my spreadsheet and main cash and GPP lineups on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/fantasyfbguru
Quarterback
My Top Play
Justin Herbert, LA Chargers ($7,200): What is the one thing the Chargers’ offense does best? Pass the ball. And now the dreadful pass defense of the Tennessee Titans heads to LA. The Titans have given up 27.73 DraftKings QB points in their last four games. Herbert has averaged 314 passing yards in his last four games and has a healthy corps of receivers now.
Other QBs
Dak Prescott, Dallas ($6,200)
Tom Brady, Tampa Bay ($5,500)
Prescott faces a Jacksonville defense that has given up more than 270 yards passing during its last three games. Prescott has averaged 271.5 yards passing in last four games other than the blowout win vs. Indianapolis. Brady vs. Joe Cool should be a similar matchup the Bucs face earlier in the season vs. the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. Brady threw for 385 yards and 3 TDs in that loss. Plus, Brady has averaged more than 50 passes per game in his last three games.
Running back
My Top Play
Miles Sanders, Philadelphia ($6,500): The Philly offense is firing on all cylinders led by MVP-candidate Jalen Hurts, but Sanders has had big games in blowout wins. Sanders has scored five TDs in the Eagles’ last three wins, all blowouts.
Other RBs
Tony Pollard, Dallas ($7,100)
James Conner, Arizona ($6,900)
Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City ($5,900)
Since Week 8, Pollard has scored 24.6 or more DK points in 5 of 6 games, and Jacksonville has given up more than 130 yards rushing in their last three games. Conner should be one of the focal points of the Cardinals offense with Kyler Murray out for the year with a torn ACL. Conner has had at least 16 touches in his last four games. Pacheco’s touches are been consistent the last five weeks as he has had 15 or more touches since taking over as the No. 1 RB in the KC offense.
Wide receiver
My Top Play
Keenan Allen, LA Chargers ($6,800): Allen has seen 14 targets in each of his last two games and now faces one of the league’s worse pass defenses. Tennessee has given up an average of 340 yards passing in its last three games.
Other WRs
Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati ($8,300)
Chris Olave, New Orleans ($6,500)
Devonta Smith, Philadelphia ($6,400)
Mike Williams, LA Chargers ($6,300)
Chris Moore, Houston ($4,200)
Chase could very well be the only top target for the Bengals offense as Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger) are questionable for the game. Chase has been targeted 23 times, including 15 last week since returning from injury. Olave has seen 56 targets since the Saints have returned from their Week 6 bye, but he has been unlucky in the TD column with only one during that time span. Smith has probably been the biggest beneficiary of TE Dallas Goedert going on the IR. Goedert may be returning this weekend, but if he doesn’t here is a chance to play Smith, who has seen 8 or more targets for the past five weeks. Williams, just like Allen, gets the benefit of facing the porous Tennessee secondary. Moore hit a home run last week as a DFS cheap sleeper finishing with 25.4 points and could be in line for another big game vs. the Chiefs’ 32nd ranked defense vs. WRs and Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins are both out again.
Tight end
My Top Play
Hunter Henry, New England ($3,300): Henry had a season-high 70 yards receiving last week and now faces a Raiders defense that is in the bottom 10 vs. TEs. Henry has seen 13 targets in his last three games.
Other TEs
Dalton Schultz, Dallas ($4,400)
Juwan Johnson, New Orleans ($3,400)
Schultz may be a top 3 TE this week but at his price it will be hard to squeeze him in cash lineups. He has seen 33 targets over his last five weeks. Johnson is coming off of an injury and we have to wait to see if he’s playing on Sunday when inactives are announced.
GPP Stacks
Tom Brady, Rachaad White, Ja’Marr Chase, Chris Godwin
Dak Prescott, Tony Pollard, Christian Kirk, Dalton Schultz
