DFS Week 17

It's time to get back on track

I want to forget last weekend ASAP!

My cash lineups were all bust and the only decent cash was my Joe Flacco-Amari Cooper-David Njoku stack on Sunday.

Then I was knocked out of the semifinals in two of my fantasy home leagues, and 0ne was a tough pill swallow, losing by 0.1 points.

But at least, we have two more weeks of the regular season to get back on track. And the PGA Tour season begins next week with The Sentry.

Also don’t forget to check out Boris’ DFS game-by-game breakdown!

Don’t forget to check out my spreadsheet, and you can use the sheet for prop bets as well.

It comes with a 7-day free trial. Check it out!

Onto my Week 17 plays!

My Top Play

Quarterback

Tyrod Taylor, NY Giants ($4,600): Taylor’s price is the big reason he is my top cash QB this week.

He has running upside and the Rams are a bottom 10 defense for allowing fantasy points to QBs. Taylor has rushed for at least 21 yards in four games this season when he saw significant playing time.

Other Cash QBs

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia ($8,300)

Derek Carr, New Orleans ($5,500)

Hurts faces a Cardinals defense that allows more than 230 yards passing a game and almost 2 TD passes a game (1.8). The Cardinals give up more than 22 fantasy points to QBs this season. Carr gets the juicy matchup of the Tampa Bay pass-funnel defense. The Buccaneers give up 283.5 yards passing a game and have given up 20 or more fantasy points to QBs in 4 of their last 6 games.

Sneaky GPP QB

Kyler Murray, Arizona ($6,300)

My Top Play

Running Back

Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco ($9,600): CMC is the most expensive RB on the Main Slate, but this may be the best spot he has had all year.

The Washington defense struggles in all facets – it gives up the 5th most fantasy points to RBs, the 2nd most fantasy points to WRs and the 2nd most fantasy points to QBs.

Use all of the 49ers pieces (all except George Kittle) where you can this weekend.

Other Cash RBs

Kyren Williams, LA Rams ($8,300)

Ekeziel Elliott, New England ($6,000)

Williams is a cheaper version of CMC. He is the Rams do-it-all RB and has averaged 25.56 DraftKings points since returning from injury in Week 12. Elliott has the Patriots backfield all to himself for the final two games as Rhamondre Stevenson was placed on IR this week. Elliott has had at least 16 touches in the three games, and he has averaged 19.2 DK points in those three games.

Sneaky GPP RB

Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville ($7,200)

My Top Play

Wide Receiver

Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco ($7,000): I wanted to get another piece of the San Francisco offense in my cash build, and Aiyuk’s price fit the bill.

His stats have been lower than Deebo Samuel’s during the last 3 games as Samuel has scored four TDs compared for Aiyuk’s none. He’s due!

Other Cash WRs

Tyreek Hill, Miami ($9,300)

D.J. Chark, Carolina ($3,600)

Hill enters Sunday’s matchup without Jaylen Waddle this season and could see more than double-digit targets. The Ravens bend-but-don’t break defense may give up plenty of receptions and easy yards for Tyreek. I’m spending up on running backs on this week so I needed a low-priced WR and Chark has plenty of upside. He is coming off his biggest game of the season, 6 catches for 98 yards and 2 TDs, and now faces the Jaguars’ bottom 10 defense for fantasy points vs. WRs. Chark is the top WR value on my spreadsheet.

Sneaky GPP WR

Zay Flowers, Baltimore ($5,600)

My Top Play

Tight End

Gerald Everett, LA Chargers ($3,500): Since the Chargers bye, Everett has been more involved in the offense.

He’s seen at least 4 targets in the last five games, including 8 each in the last three games.

He has averaged 10.38 points in his last five games, giving him a solid floor with a cheaper price for a TE.

Other Cash TE

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans ($3,400): Johnson is a nice pivot off of Everett if you need the $100 in salary, but Johnson is more a boom play than a floor play.

But he’s been active in the red zone in the last two games, and the Bucs are also bad against TEs, giving up the 3rd most fantasy points to the position.

Sneaky GPP TE

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta ($4,100)

My Top Play

DST

Baltimore ($2,800) home against Miami

Other Cash DST

Houston ($3,000) home against Tennessee

Sneaky GPP DST

Kansas City ($3,600) home against Cincinnati
