DFS Week 8

It would be nice to end the frustration

Oh the frustration of playing DFS this season!

I just can’t seem to get the chalky players right this season, and it happened again in Week 7

I finished with 99.26 points in my cash tournament lineup as my three-running back lineup failed miserably.

But in the world of DFS, especially playing GPP lineups, it only takes one big week to pay for the whole season, and I’m due!

I am providing my spreadsheet and main cash and some GPP lineups on my Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/fantasyfbguru

The spreadsheet continues to provide the right players (including the chalky ones), but I’ve been a little slow to adjust to this year’s winning ways. Check it out and stop missing out on a cheap monthly deal! As a Halloween treat, you can access the spreadsheet for free this week.

Onto My Top Plays for Week 8!

My Top Play

Quarterback

Dak Prescott, Dallas ($6,100): Prescott doesn’t grade as well as some of the other higher-priced QBs but I had find some money somewhere to stack my lineup.

Prescott is coming off his best DFS finish of the season with 24.9 DraftKings points in the Monday Night win over LA Chargers.

And he’s been doing a little everything as he has rushed for 40 yards vs. the Chargers.

Other Cash QBs

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City ($8,400)

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia ($8,300)

It’s is becoming a broken record for using these two in cash lineups, but their price pushes them more into the GPP realm. Mahomes is coming off his best DFS finish of the season, and Hurts is almost guaranteed a rushing TD if the Eagles get the ball to the 1-yard line.

Sneaky GPP QB

C.J. Stroud, Houston ($6,300)

My Top Play

Running Back

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans ($7,300): Receptions are king for running backs, and Kamara is the king of kings.

He has seen 22 targets in his last two games, pulling in 19 catches.

And he continues to see the bulk of the rushing attempts as well for the Saints. He has averaged 19.3 rush attempts in his last three games.

Plenty of volume for my cash RB!

Other Cash RBs

Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville ($7,200)

Breece Hall, NY Jets ($5,900)

Etienne Jr. has the be the workhorse for the Jaguars offense as he has scored 2 TDs in three straight games, and now faces the Steelers run defense ranked 21st in DFS points allowed to RBs. Hall gets the juicy matchup against NYC rivals Giants defense, which is ranked 22nd in DFS points allowed to RB. Hall has 8 receptions in his last two games, while carried the ball 17 times a game in the last two.

Sneaky GPP RB

Derrick Henry, Tennessee ($7,600)

My Top Play

Wide Receiver

A.J. Brown, Philadelphia ($8,000): Brown, along with Miami’s Tyreek Hill, is head and shoulders above the rest of this year’s WRs, but I’ll take Brown as My Top Play because he’s priced cheaper than Hill, who is $9,500.

Brown enters the game looking to break an NFL record of six straight games with 125 yards receiving. He has averaged 8.2 receptions and 140.2 yards a game during his streak.

Other Cash WRs

Christian Kirk, Jacksonville ($5,900)

Tyreek Hill, Miami ($9,500)

Kirk should be able to feast in the middle of the field vs. the Steelers’ linebackers, and Hill has a chance to take it to the house on every play he’s involved.

Sneaky GPP WR

Nico Collins, Houston ($5,500)

My Top Play

Tight End

Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia ($4,600): It’s not very often a non-QB position scores a 4.00 or higher value on my spreadsheet, but Goedert is that guy.

My spreadsheet has him projected at 18.44 DK points, and that blows past the 3.0 value to get a fire emoji on DraftKings.

He has scored or had more than 55 yards receiving in his 5 of last 6 games vs. the Commanders.

Other Cash TEs

Travis Kelce, Kansas City ($8,400)

Darren Waller, NY Giants ($5,200)

This is another week where you may need to spend up on TE. Kelce is in another smash spot against the Denver defense which is the worst in the NFL at allowing DFS points to TEs. Waller appears to be getting healthier as he has seen 26 targets the last three weeks. However, he was limited in practice all week and enters Sunday with a questionable tag.

Sneaky GPP TE

Dalton Schultz, Houston ($3,900)

My Top Play

DST

Minnesota ($2,500): The Vikings are coming off a big Monday Night win vs. San Francisco, and now heads to Green Bay to face turnover-plagued Jordan Love.

Love has thrown 7 interceptions in the Packers’ last four games.

Other Cash DST

Pittsburgh ($2,900) home against Jacksonville

New Orleans ($3,700) at Indianapolis

Sneaky GPP DST

Cincinnati ($2,200) at San Francisco
